ROCK Roof Cleaning; an exterior cleaning service.

Services

  • Soft Washing

Anything above the flat ground is done by soft washing. The cleaning solution (usually 2% sodium hypochlorite or lower plus a solvent) does all the work. The low pressure matched with high water flow (4 gallons per minute or greater) rinses the dirt and dead algae away. Items on your property that are soft washed would be the house itself (painted surfaces), windows, gutters/soffits, pool cages/screens, patio furniture, and roofs.

  • Roof Cleaning

100%-90% of the roof is cleaned from a ladder. Either from an A-frame ladder or extension ladder on the eave. This means very minimal walking on the roof. Safety is a priority. Roofs are cleaned with a solution of bleach and a solvent. Concentration of the solution depends on the severity of the algae growth on the roof. On average the concentration consists of 3%-5% sodium hypochlorite (bleach). No pressure is applied on a roof. The process is completely done is by soft washing. Using no more than 60 psi (household garden hose pressure).

  • Pressure Washing

Pressure washing is for concrete based surfaces that are not painted or sealed such as driveways, seawalls, pavers, and decorative stones. Cleaning solution (2%-5% sodium hypochlorite plus solvent) is still applied to kill off all the unwanted algae. A surface cleaner or wand is then used between 3000-3500 psi (pounds per square inch) and matched with 4-8 gpm (gallons per minute) to wash it all away. Displayed is an 18” surface cleaner at 3300 psi with a flow of 6 gpm.
